Rep. Sharice Davids Launches Farm Bill Listening Tour, Highlights Kansas Agriculture Priorities at Bowlin Farms

Representative Sharice Davids visited Bowlin Farms in Olathe to kick off the second phase of her Farm Bill listening tour. She toured the multi-generational farm, known for producing fresh crops and supplying local schools, farmers markets, and educational programs. Davids met with the farm’s owners and local agribusiness leaders to discuss how the upcoming Farm Bill can better support Kansas agriculture.

As Congress extended the Farm Bill through September 2025, Davids, a member of the U.S. House Agriculture Committee and Ranking Member of the General Farm Commodities Subcommittee, is gathering input from farmers, ranchers, and producers across Kansas to shape the bipartisan legislation.

Her tour has included stops at poultry and livestock farms, co-ops, and organic vegetable operations. She’s also met with students, served school lunches, and visited renewable energy producers. Davids is focused on ensuring the Farm Bill reflects the priorities of Kansas agriculture and strengthens programs like crop insurance, specialty crop support, and education.
