Romaine, Swanson Named to Preseason All-Big 12 Team

Kansas State’s Austin Romaine and Will Swanson were named to the 2025 Preseason All-Big 12 Team, the conference announced Monday. The honors were selected by media members who cover the league.

Romaine, a junior linebacker from Hillsboro, Missouri, started 12 games last season and led the Wildcats with 96 tackles. He also recorded 7.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, and three forced fumbles. He tied for fifth in the Big 12 in forced fumbles and ranked ninth in total tackles.

Swanson, a senior fullback/H-back from Papillion, Nebraska, had nine catches for 66 yards and three touchdowns last season. He played in 13 games, making four starts, and helped lead a rushing attack that ranked second nationally in yards per carry.

Both players earned All-Big 12 honors last season. K-State will appear at Big 12 Media Days on Tuesday in Frisco, Texas, with Romaine among the team’s representatives.
