Royals Sign Former Cy Young Winner Dallas Keuchel to Minor League Deal

The Kansas City Royals have signed veteran left-hander Dallas Keuchel to a Minor League contract, the team announced Wednesday.

Keuchel, 37, held a workout for the club last week and reportedly reached 92 mph on his fastball. He will report to the team’s training facility in Arizona before joining Triple-A Omaha.

Keuchel last pitched in the majors in 2024 with the Brewers, posting a 5.40 ERA over 16 2/3 innings in four games.

A former AL Cy Young winner in 2015, Keuchel went 20-8 with a 2.48 ERA that season for the Astros. He has also pitched for the Braves, White Sox, Diamondbacks, Rangers, Twins, and Brewers.

This marks his sixth team in four seasons.

For his career, Keuchel holds a 103-92 record with a 4.04 ERA. He is also a two-time All-Star and a 2017 World Series champion.
