SafeLine Kansas: New Text Service Enhances 24/7 Support for Victims of Sexual and Domestic Violence

The Crisis Center, Inc., in collaboration with the Kansas Coalition Against Sexual and Domestic Violence, announces the rebranding of its 24/7 support service for victims of sexual and domestic violence as SafeLine Kansas. Along with the new name, SafeLine Kansas introduces a vital enhancement—a text line service that offers survivors more discreet and accessible ways to seek support. Kathy Ray is the Executive Director of The Crisis Center, Inc.

The new text feature allows survivors to discreetly reach out by texting “SAFE” to 847411* to connect with a trained advocate, offering an alternative for those who may not feel comfortable speaking on the phone. The original toll-free phone line, 1-888-363-2287, remains available for those who prefer to speak with someone directly.

Now, with both phone and text options, SafeLine Kansas provides a safe, immediate, and accessible way to get help no matter where a person is in the state.
