The Salina Regional Health Foundation’s Community Health Investment Program (CHIP) awarded 20 grants in 2024, totaling $518,108. The funding comes from Salina Regional Health Center, which donates a percentage of its operating margin to the foundation each year.
Since CHIP’s start in 1995, the program has granted over $16.79 million to local community organizations. CHIP focuses on funding initiatives related to children’s health, childhood obesity, mental health, substance abuse, aging populations, heart disease, and stroke.
Applications for CHIP are accepted three times a year, with the final two deadlines set for April 18 and August 15. The first deadline was January 10.
