The location for the September 26 water local consult meeting in Leavenworth has been changed to the Fairfield Inn & Suites, located at 1101 N. 4th Street. The meeting will still take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

This meeting is part of the second round of local consult meetings held throughout September to gather input on strategies for implementing the 2022 Kansas Water Plan. It builds on the first round of local consult meetings held this summer, as well as Regional Advisory Committee (RAC) meetings.

Attendees will have the opportunity to provide feedback through facilitated group discussions on:

• Updated investment scenarios based on feedback from round one
• Important criteria for evaluating investment strategies to achieve the Plan’s long-term goals related to aquifers, reservoirs, and water quality
• Setting objectives and identifying reasonable actions Kansans believe are necessary
• Preferred revenue sources to meet these objectives
