Seven members of the Kansas City Chiefs have been named among the NFL’s best at their respective positions, according to ESPN’s 2025 positional rankings. The annual list is compiled from input by league executives, coaches, and scouts.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes topped the rankings once again, praised for his command of the offense and unmatched efficiency on third downs. Since 2018, he continues to lead the league in most major passing categories.
Center Creed Humphrey was ranked No. 1 among interior offensive linemen, noted for his consistency and leadership. Right guard Trey Smith came in at No. 4, with strong marks for his run-blocking ability and physical presence up front.
On the defensive side, tackle Chris Jones ranked No. 2, with evaluators highlighting his strength and ability to disrupt the pocket. Cornerback Trent McDuffie earned the No. 4 spot after a season in which he expanded his role and produced career highs in pass breakups.
Linebacker Nick Bolton also ranked No. 4, recognized for his impact against the run and improved performance in pass coverage. Tight end Travis Kelce, now in his mid-30s, remains a top weapon, landing at No. 5 among tight ends after leading the team in targets and red zone production.
Defensive end George Karlaftis also received an honorable mention among edge rushers, showing continued growth.
Kansas City is one of the few teams with top-tier representation across offense, defense, and special teams, underscoring the balanced roster that has helped sustain its success in recent years.
