Sterling Sharpe, Antonio Gates, Jared Allen, and Eric Allen were inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday.
Sharpe shared an emotional moment with his brother Shannon, who gave him his first Super Bowl ring years ago. In return, Sterling gave Shannon his gold jacket, making them the Hall’s first brother duo.
Gates, who never played college football, thanked Chargers coaches for giving him a chance. He finished his 16-year career with 116 touchdowns, the most ever by a tight end.
Jared Allen, wearing his signature cowboy hat, spoke about his motivation: fear, respect, and the pursuit of greatness. He tallied 136 sacks over 12 seasons.
Eric Allen, introduced by his son, honored the Eagles, Raiders, and late owner Al Davis. He recorded 54 career interceptions.
