The TCU Horned Frogs used a 9-0 run in the final minutes to defeat the Kansas State Wildcats, 77-68, on Saturday at Bramlage Coliseum.
K-State cut the deficit to 67-65 with 4:44 remaining after a three-point play by David Castillo. TCU responded with nine straight points, including six from Xavier Edmonds, to take control. Edmonds finished with 15 points and 13 rebounds.
The Wildcats shot 50 percent from the field but committed 18 turnovers, which led to 28 TCU points. The Horned Frogs also held a 15-4 edge in second-chance points and made 16 free throws.
P.J. Haggerty led K-State with 18 points. Nate Johnson added 16 points and nine assists, while Taj Manning recorded a career-high 10 rebounds.
K-State fell to 11-18 overall and 2-14 in Big 12 play.
