Clay Center boys and girls both brought home 2nd Place Plaques from the 4A Regional Championships in Abilene on Thursday. The day was highlighted by First Place Gold for Lauren Smith in the 800 2:17.39; she was also part of the 4×400 1st Place team with Tovah Catlin, Tatum Johnston and Boston Craig with a time of 4:04.51. For the Tiger Boys Jace Weller had Double-Gold in the 100 (11.01) and 200 (21.82). Abram Stratton also Two Golds; Triple Jump (41-1.25) and Javelin (163-4). And Ethan Tiers had Gold in the Discus 140-5. Complete results can be found in the link below. The Tigers now head to State on Friday and Saturday May 30-31 at Cessna Stadium in Wichita.
