Ten Wildcats secured NCAA Championship spots after strong performances at the NCAA West Preliminary in College Station, Texas.
Shalom Olotu led the way with 9th in the long jump (6.44m) and 11th in the triple jump (13.45m). Monique Hardy placed 11th in the hammer throw (62.99m), and Riley Marx was 4th in the javelin (72.58m). Selva Prabhu took 2nd in the triple jump (16.49m), while Tamaiah Koonce was 6th in the discus (55.99m). Sharie Enoe placed 4th in the high jump (1.84m).
On the track, Safhia Hinds finished 4th (56.34) and Jourdin Edwards 7th (56.73) in the 400m hurdles. Emil Uhlin qualified in the decathlon.
All 10 athletes advance to Nationals in Eugene, Oregon, June 11–14, with K-State competing in eight total events.
