Release from the Kansas Office of the Governor

TOPEKA – On Tuesday, November 4, 2025, Governor Laura Kelly, in accordance with Executive Order #20-30, ordered flags throughout the State of Kansas be flown at half-staff immediately until sundown on the day of interment to honor the passing of Vice President Dick Cheney. 

Vice President Cheney was interred after funeral services on Thursday, November 20, 2025. Flags are to return to full-staff beginning sunup on Friday, November 21, 2025.
