On Monday, October 9th, USD 333 Concordia had their regular board meeting. Information presented at the meeting showed that next year the district will be facing a significant increase in health insurance costs. With the anticipation of up to a 37.9 percent increase in cost, the district is hoping they will be able to negotiate those costs with Blue Cross and Blue Shield. If not, the increase in expenses would be rising by more than $800,000. The board will also be visiting with other insurance vendors to explore their options.
