USD 443 Board Names Jason Scheck as New Superintendent, Effective July 2025

The USD 443 Board of Education announced Wednesday morning that Jason Scheck has been selected as the district’s new Superintendent of Schools.

Scheck will officially begin his role on July 1, 2025, succeeding current Superintendent Fred Dierksen, who is set to retire at the end of the 2024-25 school year.

According to the district, Scheck brings extensive experience as an educator and administrator. He previously served USD 443 as Associate Superintendent of Human Resources and Principal of Alternative Education, focusing on student success, staff development, and community engagement.

Scheck holds a Master of Education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and a Bachelor of Science from Fort Hays State University. He also earned K-12 Building Leadership and District Leadership endorsements in Kansas.
