The U.S. Postal Service has launched the 2025 season of USPS Operation Santa, inviting children and families nationwide to start writing and sending letters to Santa Claus. Now in its 113th year, the program connects letter writers with generous individuals and organizations who help make holiday wishes come true.
Letters can be submitted starting today, September 24, following program guidelines available at USPSOperationSanta.com. To be eligible for adoption and fulfillment, letters must be postmarked by December 6. This year, participants can adopt a single letter representing multiple people in the same household, allowing them to fulfill an entire family’s wishes.
The Postal Service is also expanding the USPS Operation Santa online gift catalog, introduced last year to simplify fulfillment and shipping. The catalog now offers thousands of items, and when letter adoption begins on November 17, adopters can shop and ship directly through the online platform.
