The City of Washington has hired contractor IES to complete a voltage conversion and some residents  may be experiencing electrical outages.  Washington City Administrator, Carl Chalfant, explains why the conversion is being done.

The city has been rebuilding the feeder lines from the substation that feeds different sections of town over the past several years as budget has allowed. IES arrived yesterday.
