Wear red on Friday to promote heart health awareness

The Clay County Health Department challenges everyone to wear red on Friday, February 6, to raise awareness about heart disease, the leading cause of death in the United States. February is American Heart Month and the American Heart Association says heart disease and stroke kills more women than all forms of cancer combined each year.

Wearing red brings awareness to the growing burden of heart disease among our mothers, daughters, sisters, and other loved ones.
