Wichita State University Partners with OneRise to Expand Mental Health Resources Across Kansas

Wichita State University is expanding its impact on community mental wellness through a new partnership with OneRise, a leader in behavioral health innovation. This collaboration will strengthen the Suspenders4Hope program, delivering essential mental health education and resources across Kansas, with a focus on underserved areas and priority groups like veterans, medical professionals, construction workers, and hospitality employees.

The Suspenders4Hope program, created at WSU in partnership with mental health experts, offers free online training, workplace wellness tools, and a community-driven approach to preventing suicide and overdose. By teaming up with OneRise, WSU aims to enhance Kansas’ behavioral health network, training more advocates, equipping workplaces, and removing barriers to care.

This partnership fosters hope, connection, and action, creating a healthier Kansas, one conversation at a time. Suspenders4Hope provides free mental health training for individuals and workplaces, offering practical skills to recognize and address mental health concerns in daily life and at work.
