Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. has been selected to the All-MLB First Team for the second consecutive season, announced Thursday during the 2025 MLB Awards in Las Vegas.
Witt’s honor comes after another highly productive regular season. The 25-year-old hit .295 with 23 home runs, 88 RBIs, 38 stolen bases and a Major League-leading 47 doubles. He also led MLB in hits for the second straight year with 184. His 8.0 WAR ranked third among all position players, according to FanGraphs.
Defensively, Witt remained one of the league’s top performers. His 24 outs above average tied for the MLB lead, and his 18 runs prevented ranked third at any position.
The All-MLB Team is determined by a combination of fan voting and a panel of baseball experts. Royals teammates Vinnie Pasquantino, Maikel Garcia and Carlos Estévez were also nominees.
