A Mural Movement is Heading to Lincoln Elementary School

Clay Center, KS-

The next installment of A Mural Movement will be in the Lincoln Elementary School gym.

The announcement was made last week at the Clay Center Rotary Club meeting as well as at Lincoln Elementary’s Rise & Shine assembly. This will be the second mural installed at USD 379 joining the CCCMS gym mural.

Weller says the kids at LES will come together to come up with what they love about Lincoln Elementary, and through their idea, the mural will come to life.

The mural will be completed over spring break by Evan Brown who owns Doodle Dood, a Kansas City based painter and muralist.

Matt Weller, LES Principal says he’s excited to have his school be the next installment of the next Clay Center Mural Movement.

Weller says it’s especially exciting because the students get to be part of the process in creating the design.

If anyone would like to donate directly to the project, they can do so at claycentercif.org.
