On Saturday, February 10th, the Hunt Family Candy Company will be selling four flavors of their caramels at Java Junkies in Clay Center.

Eric Hunt says he first started making caramels in 2018 after trying to find a recipe for caramel syrup for his son’s ice cream:

Hunt says the business is a side hustle, so there is no official storefront for the Hunt Family Candy Company. Instead, Hunt says he and his family sell their creations at events like Piotique, as well as holiday celebrations at Java Junkies:

Prior to the holiday events, the two businesses collaborate and pair a few flavors of coffee and a few flavors of caramel to complement each other’s products.

Hunt says he has shipped his caramels across the country, and even to Europe and Africa.
