Riley County will debut a new online property information portal, Beacon, on December 1st. Provided by Schneider Geospatial, the platform will replace the county’s current parcel search system, which will remain available through December 30 to ease the transition.

County officials selected Beacon for its improved usability, expanded search options, and clearer property data. The system supports transparency while maintaining no added cost to the public.

Key features include valuation and assessment information, advanced searches, detailed property reports, and an interactive GIS map with aerial imagery. Users can also download property record cards and view tax distribution charts. Comparable sales reports—newly available to the public—will be accessible for 30 days after valuation notices are mailed.

Statutorily authorized subscribers may apply for paid access to sales data. Beginning December 1st, Beacon will be accessible through the Appraiser’s Office webpage on the Riley County website.
