Landon Zoltenko, owner of Zoltenko Farms in Nebraska and Wildcat Blockchain, is proposing a significant partnership with the City of Belleville, which could boost the municipality’s technological standing.
Zoltenko wants to develop a modular data center in Belleville, leveraging the city’s power resources for cryptocurrency mining, specifically Bitcoin. He requires two key elements from Belleville: a suitable site near a substation, and 4.8 megawatts of power.
The project could create two to three full-time jobs and take advantage of planned upgrades to the local power plant, making Belleville an ideal location. Zoltenko already operates similar facilities in Nebraska and believes Belleville’s infrastructure makes it a perfect fit for this new venture. If successful, this partnership could place Belleville on the cutting edge of technology.
