The Republican Valley Muzzleloaders Association will be hosting the 2024 Konzavous at their campground near Wakefield on March 23rd . The event is a partnership between the RVMA and Konza District Boy Scouts of America group.

Konzavous is a combination of the phrases Konza Prairie and Fur Trapper’s Rendezvous, where trappers would meet and exchange goods and equipment.

Gene Barnes is a certified black powder instructor and member of the RVMA. He said the event will feature many activities related to America’s fur trapping era.

Barnes said they are expecting close to 200 individuals at this year’s Konzavous.
