The second program of the River Valley Extension District’s 2-part Alzheimer’s Series is “A Caregiver’s Guide to Finances.” Highlighting the importance of finances when it comes to caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s or Dementia.
Monica Thayer, Family Resource Management Agent, and Alzheimer’s Association Community Educator will be presenting this Program. She says Caregiving can be a very difficult role to hold.
With an estimated 6.7 million Americans living with Alzheimer’s or Dementia, it affects all areas, which makes learning the aspects taught from this Program all the more important.
The Program will take place on April 8th at 6:00 p.m. at the Clay Center Extension Office. It is free to attend, and a meal will be provided by Clay County Medical Center. If you are interested in this event, call the Extension Office to register by Wednesday, April 3rd.
