Becker’s Highlights Clay County Medical Center as a Top-Rated Hospital in Kansas

CCMC Press Release

Becker’s Healthcare announced its latest compilation of hospitals that patients are most likely to recommend, based on data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Among the distinguished facilities recognized is Clay County Medical Center, which has been highlighted as a top hospital in Kansas.

This list, created using the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) data, features hospitals that excel in patient satisfaction. CMS provides star ratings based on responses to the critical question: “Would you recommend this hospital to your friends and family?” Hospitals must have received at least 100 completed HCAHPS surveys over a four-quarter period to be eligible for a star rating. The most recent data, covering patient experiences from October 2022 through September 2023, was released by CMS on July 31, 2024.

Clay County Medical Center stands out among more than 50 hospitals within a 100-mile radius of Clay Center, KS, earning a prestigious five-star rating for patient satisfaction. Additionally, it is one of only six hospitals in this region to achieve a four-star overall rating. These accolades reflect the hospital’s commitment to exceptional patient care and high levels of patient satisfaction.

“We are thrilled Clay County Medical Center has been recognized for our outstanding performance in patient satisfaction,” said Austin Gillard, CEO at Clay County Medical Center. “Achieving a five-star rating and ranking among the top hospitals within our region is a remarkable accomplishment and a testament to our team’s dedication to providing excellent care.”
