The City of Wakefield and Wakefield Pride have come together to bring the Culpepper & Merriweather Circus to Wakefield. The Big Top Circus tent will be at Clay County Park on Wednesday, September 4th, with shows at 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

C&M Circus has offered a unique one-ring circus under the large tent for 38 years, offering fans an exciting experience featuring multiple acts. Leza Chryssovergis, Wakefield Mayor, said they will have activities for the children and more.

Chryssovergis encourages people to pre-buy tickets to support the City and Wakefield Pride. She said they are offering a couple of incentives to get ready for the Circus.

The coloring contest has two age groups, one for children seven and under and one contest for children 8 to 11 years. Tickets and coloring sheets are available at the Wakefield City Building, Wakefield Library, and Farmers & Merchants State Bank. More information on the Circus can be found on the Wakefield Pride Facebook page.
