‘Birds & The Bees’ Selected For Next Courageous Conversations

By Quinn O’Hara

The Clay Counts Coalition has chosen the Birds & The Bees as their next topic of discussion for their 3rd Courageous Conversations event.

Lori Martin, the leader of the Coalition, said though parents are the number one influence in their children’s lives, very few speak up on this topic.

The Coalition reached out to Relate 360’s Executive Director, Cory Richards, to give the night’s presentation. Martin said this was done to give parents a view into USD 379’s upcoming Sex Ed courses, which Richards is also teaching.

The presentation will be held at the Rex Theatre on Monday, February 26th, from 6:30-7:30pm and is free and open to the public. Martin said she and the rest of the Coalition plan to continue their work in educating the community on how to tackle difficult topics and foster Courageous Conversations
