The American Red Cross is currently experiencing an emergency need for type O blood donations. Summer often means a decline in donations due to vacations and busy schedules, yet the need for blood remains constant. Type O blood is what hospitals use most and is always in high demand.
The Clay Center Catholic Parish will host a Blood Drive on Friday, July 25th, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. Donors can schedule an appointment by visiting the Red Cross website, through the Red Cross App, or by calling the Red Cross.
All type O donors who give blood by July 31st will receive a bonus $20 e-gift card to a merchant of their choice. All donors will receive a Fandango Movie Reward by email to see a movie on the Red Cross.
