CCARE to Host 3rd Annual Benefit Meal during Clay Center’s “Lighting of the Festival of Trees”

The Clay County Animal Rescue and Education Center (CCARE) will host its third annual Pork Burger Benefit Meal during Clay Center’s “Lighting of the Festival of Trees” at the Courthouse Square on Friday, November 29th at 5:00 p.m.

John Rieb Jr., CCARE Shelter Manager, said this is a free-will offering meal.

“We’re going to begin it at 5:00 PM, basically until the trees are lit. If we see that there are enough people down there before 5:00, we may start before then. But typically, that’s when we see the most people show up is about 5:00. It’ll be at the Courthouse Square right under the tent at 5th and Lincoln. So just follow your nose to the hamburgers and you’ll find us.”

All proceeds from this fundraiser go to CCARE to help the furry friends in their care. Enjoy a great burger or hot dog meal while waiting for the trees to light up, all for a great cause.
