On Thursday, January 4th, CCCHS Tiger Band Director Daniela Thrasher presented at the Clay Center Rotary Club with her band leaders.
Thrasher says the CCCHS Marching Band was able to perform at every home football game this season, and that the new Mark A Chapman Activity Complex made practices much more streamlined and enjoyable. The Tiger Band also performed at several community events during the first semester, including the Kansas State Fair, and the Riley Marching Band Festival, where the band received a 1, or Outstanding, at both competitions, which is the best possible score. Thrasher said the band has also received new pieces for their drumline:
The band also has a few upcoming concerts. The first will be on January 23th, in the Martyn Snodgrass Auditorium at 7pm. The Annual Stardusters Concert is also coming up, scheduled for March 27th at 7pm in the Martyn Snodgrass Auditorium.
