The month of May is Speech Therapy Month, celebrating the crucial role speech therapists play for people of all ages throughout their community. Clay County Medical Center (CCMC) wants to recognize its two speech therapists: Megan Gfeller and Brenda Bohnenblust for their dedicated work to the community.
Speech Therapist Megan Gfeller said she thought she wanted to be an Orthodontist until speaking with her cousin.
Gfeller has been a Speech Therapist for 13 years in nearly all areas and with all ages. She said continued speech therapy for kids through the summer is important.
Gfeller said that if a parent has any concerns about their child’s speech don’t hesitate to call them or their doctor at CCMC. It never hurts to have it looked into.
Gfeller and Bohnenblust play vital roles at CCMC and in the Community.
