Chase Turner Joins CCMC, Bringing Passion for Patient-Centered Physical Therapy andCommunity Connection

CCMC Release

Clay County Medical Center is excited to welcome Chase Turner, the newest physical therapist to join our team. The Salina native graduated from Wichita State University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program in 2021. He brings a rich background in both inpatient and outpatient therapy, treating patients of all ages. With special certifications in dry needling (Levels I & II), cupping, and myofascial scraping, Chase is passionate about helping patients manage chronic pain and recover from injuries. “It’s all about short-term discomfort for long-term gain,” he says.

“When people are ready to commit to healing, I want to bring every tool to the table to support that.” Chase completed his undergraduate studies at Kansas State University, where he also earned a secondary major in gerontology. His education and experience allow him to treat a wide range of patients, and he’s especially enthusiastic about working with athletes. “I come from an athletic background, so I naturally connect with that type of care—but I also love working with older adults. Every day brings something new.”

Chase is transitioning from Manhattan to the Clay Center area with his wife, Shelbie, a nurse at Riley Family Physicians. The couple has a 15-month-old son, Colt, and two beloved German Shepherds, Stryker and Stella, whom Chase lovingly refers to as “the first babies.”

“We’re thrilled to settle into this community,” he said. “It’s a great place with great people. And Shelbie and I are both feeling really supported and welcome.”

A devoted Washington Commanders fan, he brings a lively spirit to his work and builds meaningful relationships with patients, including one who jokingly invited him to the Super Bowl. “I had a patient who said if the Commanders and Chiefs both made it, we were road-tripping to New Orleans together,” Turner laughs. “It’s those connections that make this work so rewarding.”

As Turner settles into his new role, he remains committed to providing evidence-based, empathetic care to every patient who walks through the door. “I truly love what I do,” he says. “And I’m excited to do it here.”
