The Clay Center Community High School’s Vocal Music Department will hold its annual February Winter Concert on Thursday, February 20th, at 7:00 p.m. in the Martyn Snodgrass Auditorium.
The concert, titled “Love Songs” will include music from the Robed Choir, Orange & Black Choir, and Tiger Chorale. Kara Bergsten, Vocal Music Director, spoke a bit about the concert.
“This is our February concert where we always do love songs. All of our songs are towards that theme.”
“Tiger Chorale is going to be doing a show choir set where they dance and sing. There will also be a few soloists, and all of the choirs will be performing together and separate as well.”
Following the concert, the Vocal Department will also be holding a Bake Sale fundraiser, with proceeds helping the Tiger Chorale with travel expenses to Branson.
“Tiger Chorale is traveling to Branson with the Tiger Band in June, and so at the Bake Sale, we’re going to be selling an assortment of baked goods. All the profits from the Bake Sale will help with our trip.”
“There are going to be smaller items and then larger goods like whole cakes and pies as well.”
Admission is free and all are welcome to attend. This is a great opportunity to support the local students and music department, during the concert and afterward at the Bake Sale.
