The Clay Center girls’ tennis team excelled at the 2024 Tennis Quad, finishing first with 25 total points. Adalyn Pfizenmaier led the team in #1 singles, going undefeated with wins over Alma-Wabaunsee (6-2, 6-4), Osborne (6-0, 7-5), and Beloit (6-2, 6-3). In #1 doubles, Ella Kramer and Elizabeth Larson also went 3-0, securing victories in all their matches.
In #2 singles, Tovah Catlin added to Clay Center’s success, winning two out of three matches, including a tough tiebreaker against Osborne (7-6, 6-4). In #2 doubles, Isley Lee and Annalea Hendrickson completed a perfect day, finishing 3-0.
Alma-Wabaunsee placed second with 12 points, while Osborne and Beloit followed with 15 and 8 points, respectively. Clay Center’s strong performance across all categories helped them claim the overall team victory at the quad.
