By Quinn O’Hara

The Clay Center Elks’ Lodge No. 2253 is holding their first annual Bikes, Blues, and BBQ Hardship Tour.

The event will take place at the Clay Center Elks’ Lodge on July 26 from 4-10 p.m. The Hardship Tour’s main event will be a Bike Show with the crowd favorite winning a $100 cash prize. Entry for the show is $10. The event will also feature a pulled pork meal in exchange for a $10 donation and music from blues artist Rick Stanley.

Tera Barber, the Elks’ Treasurer, said the yearly fundraiser was created to benefit local families and individuals experiencing hardships. The funds collected from entry into the bike show and the pulled pork meal will benefit Kate, Finn, and Boone Hammond, who recently lost their husband and father.
