On Saturday, June 29, the Clay Center Tiger Sharks Swim Team closed out their season by competing in the Kansas-Nebraska Swim League Championship Champs Meet.
The Tigersharks traveled to Fairbury, Nebraska to compete against teams from Concordia, Kansas, and Beatrice, Crete, Fairbury, Seward, Wilber, and York, Nebraska. The meet had 60 events, over 300 participants, and over 900 entries.
31 Tiger Sharks participated in the Champs Meet. Medals were given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Ribbons were given for 4th through 8th place. During the competition members of the Tiger Sharks took home 62 medals and 47 ribbons. The team also had 14 individual champions and 1 relay champion.
