The 51st annual Kansas Shrine Bowl saw the East team defeat the West 36-25. Clay Center graduate and Washburn University commit, Brody Hayes, earned MVP honors for the West team.
The West team started strong with a field goal, but the East team dominated the first half, leading 20-3 at halftime. Hayes made a significant impact in the second half by scoring a touchdown for the West.
Despite Hayes’ efforts, the East team maintained their lead with contributions from Tanner Heckel, Bryce Noernberg, and Jackson Voth. The East team secured the win, avenging last year’s close loss.
