Clay Center’s Presbyterian Manor’s 2025 ‘Art is Ageless’ Exhibit Opens to Public this Friday

From April 4th through the 11th, area senior artists will be showcasing their talents in the annual “Art is Ageless” exhibit at the Clay Center Presbyterian Manor.

The exhibit will feature a variety of artistic works from seniors aged 65 and up. Amy Altwegg, Clay Center PMMA Director, said it’s fun to recognize these talented people.

“It’s something that we really enjoy because it showcases all of the different talents of our seniors in this area.”

“People think of art sometimes and they just think of paintings. We have quilting, we have mixed media, we have woodworking. We’ve had just some super creative things that people have done, and we enjoy being able to see it, and it’s fun to recognize those people for their talents.”

The exhibit will be open daily from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. The public is welcome to attend and view the various works of art throughout the week. On Friday, April 11th the exhibit will conclude with a reception from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. to honor the artists who entered their works in this year’s event.

The artists’ works will be judged, and winning pieces will move on to the masterpiece judging level, which includes all participating Manors across the Midwest. Winning artwork will be displayed in the 2026 Art is Ageless calendar and notecards.
