Today, November 14th, from 5-8pm, the Clay Counts Coalition will hold a Community Commitment night, an “Evening for Courageous conversations” at The Rex Theatre in Clay Center.
Lori Martin of the Clay Counts Coalition explains the purpose and motivation behind the event:
The night will include free childcare at Common Ground, a free meal from 5pm-6pm, followed by a short welcome session. Next, several local mental health specialists will lead breakout sessions to discuss topics such as social media, the importance of sleep and fitness, the brain and anxiety, medications, and more. The night will end at 8pm with a final meeting, as well as a free drawing for $1,000 worth of door prizes donated by the event sponsors.
