On the morning of Monday, November 20th, the Clay County Commissioners met for a regular meeting.
The Highway Department reported on construction progress. The Clay County EMS reported a successful inspection with no violations. Sheriff Benninga reported that he has officially named Mark Werbin as the new Undersheriff. Pam Kemp gave a report of the progress of the Final Wildfire Evacuation Plan.
Dana Rickley, the Clay County Health Director, said the first Community Commitment Night was a success. 286 adults and 50 kids attended the event. A second event is being discussed to take place in January with the ability to provide it online for those unable to attend in person.
Clay County Commission meetings take place Mondays at 8am at the Clay County Courthouse.
