Clay County Commissioners Talk CCEMS, Sheriff’s Dept,, More

On March 25 the Clay County Commissioners met for their regular meeting.

CCEMS Director Alec Trembath reported that they had reached 176 runs at the time of the meeting. He also reported on the status of an AEMT class, stating that the group will be taking a test on April 13 with the NREMT Representative to aid in the testing process.

Clay County Sheriff Benninga reported that the 3rd new Patrol Unit arrived at Friesen’s. The unofficial minutes report states that both Dodge Durangos ordered in 2023 have arrived, as well as one Dodge Durango ordered in 2024.

Fair Board President Mike Argo met with the Board to discuss repairs to the sidewalk at the Clay County Events Center. He also reported that the planning for the 2024 Clay County Fair is going well.

The Commissioners also discussed health insurance, machinery repairs at the Landfill, quotes for flower bed maintenance, and Highway Department updates.
