Clay County Conservation District Gets New Manager, Looking Forward to Increasing Community Outreach

By Quinn O’Hara

As of June 10, The Clay County Conservation District has a new District Manager

Jessica Boeckman has an animal sciences degree from Kansas State University. After a brief break from the nature sciences field, Boeckman decided to get back into the scene through the Conservation District.

Boeckman’s responsibilities will include leading the Clay County Conservation District’s efforts in organizing resources for farmers, aiding in cost shares, coordinating seed sales, and much more. Boeckman said she is excited to get out into the community and share about the importance of conservation through events, workshops, teaching in local classrooms, and other community outreach efforts.
