Clay County Fair Holding Youth Coloring Contest to Win Free Carnival Armbands

By Quinn O’Hara

The Clay County Fair is holding a coloring contest.

Kids aged 3 and under, 4 to 6, 7 to 9, and 10 to 12 will choose one of two coloring page options. Using either crayons, markers, pencils or paint, the participants must color the page without assistance. The pages feature farm animals such as chickens, cows, ducks, cows, and horses with a barn in the background.

The pages can be turned into the River Valley Extension Office in Clay Center before Friday, July 19. Alternatively, participants can turn their page in at the Clay County Event Center’s Open Class Craft Department during the fair on Tuesday, July 23 from 6-7pm.

Winners of the coloring contest will receive an armband they can use at the carnival on a day of their choosing. Winning pages will also be displayed at the fair.
