Clay County Has A New Rescue Truck

By Quinn O’Hara

Clay County has a new rescue truck.

In the last Clay County Commissioners Meeting, a used 1994 International Rescue Truck was approved to be purchased for $35,000 out of the General Fund.

Kyle Murphy is the Assistant Fire Chief for the City of Wakefield, as well as Wakefield’s City Superintendent. He said the Rescue Truck can go anywhere in Clay County and will help with County rescue operations as well as disaster and emergency responses.

Murphy said the truck will replace an old ambulance the County had repurposed.

Murphy said this truck will greatly help Clay County, and he is happy the Commissioners were able to purchase the rescue truck.
