On October 28th,  the Clay County Health Department, the Clay Center Police Department, and the Clay Counts Coalition hosted a drug takeback day outside the Clay Center Courthouse. Over the course of the 4-hour event, Clay County was able to remove close to 25 pounds of prescription drugs from the community.  Clay County Health Department Nurse Nikki Burwell talks of the importance of drug takeback events:
