Clay County Medical Center Welcomes Danielle Wurtz, DO

CCMC Release

Clay County Medical Center is pleased to welcome Danielle Wurtz, DO, to the
medical team! She will begin seeing patients at Clay Center, Linn, and Glasco Family Physicians in
December.

With over eight years of experience as a primary care physician, Dr. Wurtz is a doctor of osteopathic
medicine who is passionate about preventive care, obstetrics, and caring for families as a whole. She
earned her medical degree from Rocky Vista University of Osteopathic Medicine in Parker, CO, and
completed her residency at Wesley Family Medicine in Wichita, KS.

“I was drawn to medicine later in my education,” Dr. Wurtz shared. “While I initially planned to
pursue a career in biochemistry, I realized that I needed a more personal connection with my work.
That’s when I discovered my passion for primary care, and it’s been my calling ever since. Every
day, I’m motivated by the opportunity to empower patients and build strong, trusting relationships.”

Originally from Barnes, KS, Dr. Wurtz graduated from Linn High School. She is the daughter of
Nikolas and Melodie Sedivy and is married to Seth, who grew up in Clifton, KS. Together, they have
three children: Clara (12), Isaac (10), and Abel (6).

Austin Gillard, CEO of Clay County Medical Center, shared his enthusiasm: “We are thrilled to
welcome Dr. Wurtz to our team. Her commitment to patient-centered care and her dedication to
community health aligns perfectly with our mission to provide quality, compassionate care.”

We are confident that Danielle Wurtz, DO, will be an invaluable asset to our practice, and we are
excited for patients to experience the exceptional care she provides. If you haven’t had the
opportunity to meet Dr. Wurtz yet, we encourage you to call (785) 632-2181 and schedule an
