Clay County Republican Valley Ringnecks Annual Banquet set for Late January

By: Ryan Duey

The Clay County Republican Valley Ringnecks Pheasants Forever Chapter will host its annual Banquet on Saturday, January 25th at Scanolli’s in Wakefield. The Banquet will begin at 5:00 p.m. with a Social Hour, followed by Dinner at 7:00, and a Live Auction at 8:00.

Morgan Cannizzo with Republican Valley Ringnecks said Dieck’s will be catering the meal and there will be games and raffles for a variety of prizes. Prizes include guided hunts, guns, wildlife art, dog boxes, and much more. Cannizzo explained how the games work.

“All of our games will start when the doors open. Winning a game or buying a card, depending on the game, is how you’ll get chances to win a gun or any other giveaways. The games will end when the live auction starts or when they’re sold out.”

Proceeds from this annual Banquet support the local Chapter with youth activities and wildlife conservation initiatives. Cannizzo highlighted some of the programs this event helps support.

“We host this annual banquet every year to raise funds for habitat initiatives and local youth activities. We do a youth fishing day every year, we do a youth hunt every year, and other youth activities throughout the year.”

“And we are always looking for new programs to help our community and help the habitat.”

The Banquet is open to the public and attendees will have an opportunity to join the Ringnecks Chapter that evening. Along with supporting local youth, members get exclusive access to different equipment throughout the year, including clay throwers, pollinator planting drills, fire/water rigs, and more.

Tickets can be purchased at the door that evening, or ahead of time by visiting www.events.pheasantsforever.org.
