Clay County Residents Encouraged to Complete Community Health Needs Survey to Help Assess Grant Use Needs

By: Ryan Duey

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas has awarded Grow Clay County a grant to help address community health needs in the County. With this, Grow Clay County, in partnership with Blue Cross and Blue Shield and Little Learners Childhood Connection are looking to the community to learn what is needed by opening a Community Health Needs Assessment.

The Community Health Needs Assessment only takes a few short minutes to complete, and all participants will be put into a drawing for one of three Ray’s Apple Market gift cards.

Austin Hittle of Grow Clay County said they need to find out how to best help the community with this grant.

“With this assessment and we just want to see what the needs are in our community, we’ve received a grant from Blue Cross Blue Shield Pathways and with that grant money, we can better our community. But first, we need to find out what needs the assistance.”

More information on the Health Needs Survey can be found on the Grow Clay County Facebook page. Hittle said they plan to close the survey next week.

To get an accurate representation of the health needs in the community, community members need to complete it. The deadline to fill out the survey is planned for April 15th, so don’t hesitate. The survey can be completed at https://forms.office.com/r/WFQ2ZqjceE.
