Common Ground Offers New Ministry for Abused Women and Children

By: Ryan Duey

Common Ground Ministries of Clay Center is a nonprofit multi-denominational facility that runs seven ministries under its umbrella to support community members of all ages.

One of the newest Ministries of Common Ground is “Victims No More.” This Ministry started in the Spring of 2024 and offers support and assistance to women and children who have experienced abuse, especially sexual abuse in a one-on-one, fully confidential setting. Bob Stratton of Common Ground Ministries said this started when he found a need in the community.

Along with this much-needed service Common Ground also offers Ministries for children with two after-school programs, support, and communal housing for men and women who may need a temporary place to stay, and help with projects around the house for the elderly, disabled, and single parent citizens. Visit Common Ground’s website to learn about the different ministries or to get information on volunteering or donating to these great causes.
